What is the definition of DVLA number plates. All number plates are administered and controlled by DVLA Swansea so why do people call some of them DVLA number plates. It comes from the time when the government entered the private number plate market via the DVLA sale of marks unit. Before this the market was serviced mainly by cherished number dealers.
